2016 was an exceptional year, with ideal weather conditions producing a wine of great balance. The tannins are dense and the acidity vibrant, but already perfectly integrated from the start. This Brunello stands out for its complexity and harmony, revealing exceptional aging potential and a longevity that promises to last for many years to come.
The 2016 harvest had an early growing season, with warm weather in March and April. Flowering began at the end of May, and despite rain in June, the vines remained healthy. Veraison started in early August, and by September 10, the grapes were wellmatured. After storms in midSeptember, leaf removal was necessary to promote ripening. The harvest on October 4 and 5 yielded healthy grapes, with good sugar content and high-quality tannins.
