2010 was not a perfect year, but it provided ideal climatic conditions at the right moments, resulting in the creation of a wine with extraordinary complexity. From the first sip, you can sense an impressive structure, with firm yet wellintegrated tannins, accompanied by lively acidity. This vintage continues to amaze with its aging potential: the fruit slowly blends with more complex components, delivering a rich and fascinating tasting experience. 2010 will remain a milestone among the vintages of this Brunello.
The 2010 harvest was more challenging than previous years. Bud break was delayed due to cold and rainy spring weather, slowing flowering. In July, a heatwave accelerated growth, starting veraison in early August. However, rain in early August further slowed the process and caused mold. Fortunately, September and October alternated rain with sunny days, leading to good ripening. The harvest, on October 15 and 16, yielded a lower quantity but good quality.
