Brunello di Montalcino Bramante 2006

 Brunello di Montalcino Bramante 2006

2006 was characterised by alternating rain and sun during the months of April to June, ideal for the development of the vegetation of the vines. The next season brought a very hot and sunny July, while August was less hot than usual with some rain. The first half of September, very hot and sunny, assured the definitive evolution of the grapes to a complete and balanced ripeness. The second half of September began with some rain but the weather quickly became nice again and permitted complete ripeness by the end of the month. For the Sanlorenzo vineyards it was an exceptional year. The harvest took place on the days of 4-5 October.
From the best grapes of the vineyards of Sanlorenzo and the perfect fusion of territory, vines, and cantina, is born Bramante, a grandly elegant Brunello di Montalcino with an intense capacity for expressing itself best over time. Vinified in steel vats at controlled temperatures, it is then aged for 3 years in wooden barrels with a capacity from 30-35 hectolitres. After bottling it is allowed to rest for at least 6 months before being ready to be placed on the market. After five years Bramante’s various perfumes and aromas have blended into a captivating medley.
Dark garnet red, with a generous nose, it has aromas of dried flowers, spices, and ripe fruits. The impact on the palette is instantly extremely pleasant, with a good structure and tannins of exemplary extraction. It finishes long.
Date harvest 4-5 ottobre.
