Brunello di Montalcino Bramante 2004

Brunello di Montalcino Bramante 2004

The vintage of 2004 was distinguished by its balanced climate. The persistent spring rains were followed by summer days that were hot and sunny but interspersed with days that were cool and rainy, while September was generally dry, hot during the day and cool at night. This trend favoured fine development of the grapes and ripening that evolved in the right way up to the optimum moment for harvest. It was an excellent year for the Sanlorenzo vineyards. The harvest took place on 18
and 19 October. From the best grapes of the vineyards of Sanlorenzo and the perfect fusion of territory, vines, and cantina, is born Bramante, a grandly elegant Brunello di Montalcino with an intense capacity for expressing itself best over time. Vinified in steel vats at controlled temperatures, it is then aged for 3 years in wooden barrels with a capacity from 30-35 hectolitres.
After bottling it is allowed to rest for at least 6 months before being ready to be placed on the market. After five years Bramante’s various perfumes and aromas have blended into a captivating medley. Dark garnet red, with a generous nose, it has aromas of dried flowers, spices, and ripe fruits. The impact on the palette is instantly extremely pleasant, with a good structure and tannins of exemplary extraction. It finishes long.
Date harvest 18-19 october.
