DESCRIPTION OF THE HARVEST YEAR
A hot year.
This year that until mid-August had been balanced and good, has been influenced by the climate of the last month, in fact, from the beginning of August there have followed weeks of intense heat with peaks of 35-38 degrees and only a few days more the norm at the end of August and then it returned to above average to the date 18 September.
Spring normal and regular evolution of plants until July then the heat and drought led to an advanced veraison that ended on August 20. The excess heat which lasted throughout September has matured the grapes very quickly, raising the sugar level a lot. And careful selection during harvesting to divide healthy grapes from those who had dried because of the heat was needed. Harvest date October 3/4.
