Rosso di Montalcino

Rosso di Montalcino

The Rosso di Montalcino Sanlorenzo is made of the grapes coming from the farm’s younger vineyards that open like an amphitheater on the Orcia Valley and the sea. The soil is quite clayous and rocky, and the special micro climate of the altitude ( ca. 400 meters above the sea level), give these Sangiovese grapes a particularly mild taste. The wine making takes place in steel vats and later the wine is transferred to ‘old’ oak barriques of different sizes where it ages  until it reaches an optimal balance. A further refinement in the bottle completes the work in the cellar, and aims at creating a fruity wine with an important structure. The wine has fresh hints of ripe cherries with pleasant notes of wood in the back, it is elegant and balanced in the mouth. This wine is well combined with red meat or cheese. The Rosso di Montalcino is available in 0,75 l bottles.
